Cities across Europe have less than two months left to apply for the European Capitals of Small Retail (ECoSR) Awards 2026, with the application platform closing on 9 October 2025 at 14:00 CEST.
Organised by the European Commission, the ECoSR Awards shine a spotlight on cities that champion small retailers, strengthen urban vitality, and drive sustainable, future-ready commerce. Winning cities will benefit from European-wide recognition, professional storytelling support, promotional campaigns, and access to exclusive exchange and networking opportunities.
Applications are open to cities of all sizes from EU and SMP countries, with winners crowned in three categories: Vanguard City (5,000–50,000 inhabitants), Vibrant City (50,000–250,000), and Visionary City (250,000+).
