Are you an SME working in one of the following sectors?
• Childcare articles and nursery products
• Home furnishings and related products
• Clothing and textiles
• Sports and recreational equipment
• Electronics and appliances not covered by specific sector regulations
• DIY tools and equipment
• Automotive and transport-related products not covered by specific sector
regulations
• Health and beauty products
Then you have the opportunity to provide direct feedback on the General Product
Safety Regulation (GPSR) guidelines that address the specific challenges and needs
of small business operators within the EU.
The workshop, to be held in English, offers a unique opportunity not only to influence the guidelines that will directly affect your business but also to engage with other SMEs and policymakers.
The GPSR entered into force on 12 June 2023, and will be applicable from 13 December 2024, replacing the previous General Product Safety Directive. The European Commission is currently drafting guidelines to help economic operators implement the new regulation. Against this background, EY, commissioned by EISMEA and DG JUST, is organizing a one-day, in-person workshop in Brussels in order to collect SME’s input on such guidelines. If you are selected to participate, your travel and accommodation costs will be covered.
If we sparked your interest, please email gpsr@be.ey.com using the subject headline
"Workshop on GPSR Guidelines with SMEs”, mentioning your contact details,
sector, and country of headquarters. Selected SMEs will be invited at the end of
August to register for the workshop, which will take place on 7 November 2024.
