Acceleration Programme (ACE)-

provides innovative startups and high growth ICT companies with direct assistance in finding partners clients and financing to accelerate their move into cross border and international markets. 

Access to finance- 

This site will help you to apply for loans and venture capital supported by the European Union. Click on your country to locate banks or venture capital funds that provide finance supported by the EU.

Access to risk finance -

This programme helps companies and other types of organisations engaged in research and innovation (R&I) to gain easier access, via financial instruments, to loans, guarantees, counter-guarantees and hybrid, mezzanine and equity finance.

Business Beyond Borders-

Business Beyond Borders (BBB) helps businesses, in particular Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Clusters, to operate internationally with the ultimate goal of increasing economic growth within and outside Europe.

The project provides support to companies participating at international fairs by establishing a series of Business to Business (B2B) and Cluster to Custer (C2C) matchmaking events and by supporting the development of the companies’ activities in target markets.

COSME programme-

The programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (COSME) is improving access to finance for SMEs through two financial instruments: The Loan Guarantee Facility (LGF) and the Equity Facility for Growth (EFG).           

Creative Europe

Creative Europe provides funding for 2,500 artists and cultural professionals, 2,000 cinemas, 800 films, 4,500 book translations.The programme aims to help the cultural and creative sectors seize the opportunities of the digital age and globalisation.    

EA Link-

EIF's Private Equity and Venture Capital Funds Investments-

The European Investment Fund-supported funds that provide enterprises with equity finance but also advice and know-how.     

ELAN programme-

ELAN (European and Latin American Business Services and Innovation) is a European Union (EU) initiative that seeks to increase and diversify the EU economic presence in Latin America also aims to boost the opportunities that both markets offer for European and Latin American SMEs, through two interdependent strategies:

European and Latin American Business Services (ELAN Biz): Whose main objective is to provide up-to-date and comprehensive information services to European SMEs interested in doing business in strategic Latin American countries.

European & Latin American Technology Based Business Network (ELAN Network): Whose main purpose is to generate technology-based business opportunities between European and Latin American SMEs.

Enterprise Europe Network (EEN)-    

The Enterprise Europe Network helps SMEs and entrepreneurs access market information, overcome legal obstacles, and find potential business partners across Europe.

European Istitution of Innovation and Technology (EIT)-

The EIT’s support helps innovators and entrepreneurs across Europe to turn their ideas into products and services for the market.        

European Small Business Portal-

Small companies and entrepreneurs can find information about access to finance, access to markets, and policy related to SMEs on the portal.  

Export Helpdesk-

The European Commission's Export Helpdesk, which provides a free online service covering all import rules in force in the EU on a product-by-product and country-by-country basis.  


This website helps you to find financing opportunities by selecting the country and sector of relevance.  

Horizon 2020 SME Innovation associate-

This new programme will support 90 SMEs to hire a researcher to bring their brilliant idea to life. The action aims at overcoming barriers for EU SMEs and Start-ups to the recruitment of highly qualified specialists (PhD or equivalent) that are not available on the national job market (either because the required skills are not available or because they are not affordable), but whose knowledge would be crucial to open up opportunities for innovation and significant growth for the enterprise. 

Horizon 2020's SME Instrument-

Are you looking for excellent business resources and mentorship - and substantial funding wouldn’t hurt either? Your business could receive up to €2.5 million in funding, and world-class business coaching.   

InnovFin-EU finance for investors-

InnovFin financing tools cover a wide range of loans and guarantees which can be tailored to innovators’ needs. Financing is either provided directly or via a financial intermediary, most usually a bank.

Intellectual Property (IP) SME CORNER -

The IP SME CORNER address you to various Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Helpdesk  not only for Europe but also for  China, South East Asia, Latin America and India.


The project aims to defragment the SME investment market, helping both SMEs and investors to make better deals by increasing their knowledge about each other, on the crossroads of finance and innovation.           

Leaders Club-

The Startup Europe Leaders Club is an independent group of founders in the field of tech entrepreneurship, who act as role models for European web entrepreneurs and provide guidance to the Commission on what needs to be done to strengthen the environment for web entrepreneurs to start in Europe and stay in Europe.            


The Open Data Incubator for Europe (ODINE) is a 6-month incubator for open data entrepreneurs across Europe. The programme is funded with a €7.8m grant from the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme and is delivered by the seven partners featured below.

Pan-European network of Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs)-

Digital innovation hubs can help ensure that every company, small or large, high-tech or not, can grasp the digital opportunities. The website lists several initiatives of the EC to shape the pan-European network of DIHs with the focus on helping SMEs to master their digital transformation.

WeHubs is the first European community, powered by Startup Europe, that connects business ecosystems and provides them with mentoring tools to support women entrepreneurs in the digital sector.

ePlus Ecosystem

ePlus will offer  to web-entrepreneurs world class services, liaising entrepreneurs with European leading early stage venture and crowdfunding networks and put you in contact with the most active mentors currently engaged in national/regional programmes. This project aims to match rising entrepreneurial talents with the very best of Europe’s science and technology experts.

Start Up Scale UP    

This project aims to build an entrepreneurs Hub across Cartagena, Zoetermeer, Vilnius and Dublin,  in order to provide a greater range and quality services to ambitious entrepreneurs who want to launch and grow companies focused on the Internet of Things and Services (IoTS).           

Twist Project-

TWIST connects four existing local web entrepreneurship startup ecosystems and hubs (Rome, Lille, Warsaw, Stockholm) providing new services for web entrepreneurs aiming at scaling up and competing in the global market. Through the application of the "lean startup model”, TWIST will help the accelerated companies to establish several valuable contacts to mentors and potential clients.
