Davide Milidoni is a young Italian architect and aspiring entrepreneur. He works as an architect and would like to start his own architectural practise one day. He wanted to learn how to manage not only the design aspects but also the marketing and management aspects of a small business in the field of architecture. For this reason, he decided to participate in the programme as a young entrepreneur to acquire the necessary knowledge to achieve his goals, working with an experienced entrepreneur in his field. Alejandro Lezcano Maestre is an experienced entrepreneur from Spain who has been running his business for 6 years. He is the CEO and founder of the architecture and design studio Cronotopos. Alejandro learned about the programme and decided to participate with the aim of discovering new tools and potentials, but also to grow and improve his business.

During the time of the exchange, Davide had the opportunity to closely follow various projects. In the beginning, he and Alejandro started to get involved with international architectural competitions, which allowed them to experiment in the field of architecture. They managed to realise new construction, restoration or renovation projects on site, learning the practical and real aspects of planning and managing a project. Alejandro says that Davide brought his knowledge of the latest architectural and modelling programmes, which were useful for managing the project and the workflow. He also brought a different way of thinking that allowed a studio that had already started to improve further.

According to Davide, the programme has given him more knowledge on how to start his own architectural practice and helped him gain clarity on the key requirements for running his own business in the future. He has also made some important networking contacts that could lead to valuable collaborations later on. Alejandro has also benefited from the programme and discovered new tools and opportunities he had never heard of. He has also started to expand his business in different sectors and abroad.
