Vladyslav Petriv, a 20-year-old from Ukraine, combined work and study to become an IT specialist. When he realised that his peers were learning mainly through self-study or expensive foreign courses, and that Ukrainian children and young people who want to start programming at an early age do not have adequate self-learning skills and knowledge of English, he came up with the idea of designing and launching his own course to make it easier and fun for them to enter the IT sphere. Before joining the EYE programme, Vladyslav had been trying to find a way to learn how to start his own business, but it proved difficult to find people willing to share their knowledge. Therefore, he is grateful to his host entrepreneur Arvydas Liekis for sharing his experience and supporting the new generation of IT specialists thanks to the EYE programme.

Vladyslav and Arvydas collaborated for about two months. Arvydas advised Vladyslav on the advertising aspects and helped him to find the best approaches for creating his future educational application. Vladyslav learned about the Minimum Viable Product and its importance when developing a product. He spent time elaborating his offer and discussing it with the host entrepreneur and potential users. Vladyslav says that thanks to the exchange he achieved several positive results, such as a better understanding of the market and how to market his product, knowledge and skills to design his MVP, better communication and contact skills. According to Arvydas, participating in the programme as a host entrepreneur allowed him to develop his mentoring skills, see a new perspective for his own business and gain interesting insights into international cooperation.

Thanks to this exchange, Vladyslav gained experience in SEO and advertising and learned about the concept of social entrepreneurship. He met many new people from all over Europe and gained many interesting insights. Vladyslav's idea became something feasible that he wants to implement soon.
