Nabil and I have worked in collaboration to develop new techniques about permaculture and organic vegetables. We also entered to the national market through online marketing.

Agriculture and permaculture

 

The participants are Nabil Chelaouaou, an aspiring entrepreneur from Italy who is launching "Green Farm", a project that places great emphasis on fresh and healthy vegetables and will have a wide range of fresh and healthy salad varieties as well as fresh and high-quality vegetables to sell. Carlos Rubio María, who runs "La Bardal", a project that focuses on rural renewal and participatory governance, signed up as a host entrepreneur in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme to innovate his organisation. Nabil and Carlos decided to do an exchange together to share experiences and improve their skills, discover new markets and develop a strategy for their business objectives.



The activities undertaken during the exchange have focused on: preparing and treating the soil for planting planting taking care about plants collecting vegetables building terraces to plant in difficult places working with animals marketing and selling organic products through local markets and online channels seeds bank and how to reduce own seeds together with manual activities storage.

Nabil and Carlos also co-organized and implemented 5 workshops together and meetings ("Encontros Verdes”) and planned several training courses about regenerative agriculture aimed to fight climate change.

In genera,l the main focus of the exchange has been permaculture, and regenerative agriculture, and how to better use natural resources and practices to have a direct and real and positive impact on society (and on climate change).




The exchange gave both participants the opportunity to share experiences and knowledge about regenerative agriculture, also working joint planning activities for local community. Nabil and Carlos explored and also launched a joint project named "Saja Verde", which objective is rising awareness about protecting the Saja River.

Nabil had the opportunity to deepen his knowledge of sustainable practises in permaculture and organic vegetable farming and to expand his target market and customer base through an effective marketing and networking approach. On the other hand, Carlos had the opportunity to receive support and new ideas related to permaculture and animal husbandry and to develop new activities and events on the farm.
