New entrepreneur:
Memouna Diallo (France)
Age: 30
Company name: (Start-up)
Sector of activity: IT, office and communication equipment, services and supplies

This program confirmed that I had made the right choice in changing my professional career. Making useful and engaging websites that help people is what I want to do in the future.

Host entrepreneur:
Necmettin Meletli (Sweden)
Age: 36
Company name: Mobilizing Expertise AB (14 years of experience)
Sector of activity: Education and training services

Memouna was our 1st NE. It was a good experience to sharing ideas and see how we can develop our company. And at the same time Memouna could see how a company works in Sweden. I believe it was a good exchange!

Period of exchange: 04/2021 until 07/2021
Duration of exchange: 3 months

Business sector of the exchange

Web design

Memouna studied and worked in fashion design for several years in France, as well as in the UK and South Korea. Through these experiences, she met various graphic designers and grew a keen interest in the field. She started training herself in the use of design software so that she could design her clothes directly with these tools. It quickly became clear that she was even more passionate about graphic design than fashion design. So she decided to further her education to learn computer programming and coding. She took advantage of the lockdown to continue learning and realized she might be ready to launch her own project! Thanks to the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program she was able to spend 3 months with Necmettin Meletli, the CEO of Mobilizing Expertise, a Swedish social enterprise that provides training, develops educational tools, mobilizes volunteers for professional project management and promotes entrepreneurship.

Necmettin and Memouna met regularly, and Necmettin provided Memouna with assistance in consolidating her financial analysis and business plan and encouraged her to step out of her comfort zone by developing new skills, particularly in video editing. He also regularly encouraged Memouna to step out of her comfort zone as she took part in projects using tools she had not quite mastered at the time. For example, she had to rethink Mobilizing Expertise's website, which was built using WordPress. She was not used to working with it, but she was able to further develop her programming skills to make this project a reality. She was also once in charge of creating video content, which was brand new to her. She had to learn the ropes in a short amount of time, but managed to come up with good content and can now add it to her portfolio.

Memouna has been able to expand her network significantly as Mobilizing Expertise works with partners from around the world, including countries where she hopes to expand her operations in the future: she already has potential clients there! She has also been able to complete her own website, she has been able to build her portfolio that will help her do her first business as an entrepreneur, and she has developed various technical skills through the projects she has managed with Necmettin. Finally, thanks to Necmettin's mentoring, she was able to finalize her financial plan and set her pricing.
