Age: 22
Company name: 367ppm (Start-up)
Sector of activity: Advertising,Promotion, Media

I am just so grateful to the Erasmus programme. When I arrived in Vienna, I had a blurry idea of my market services, my target audience and my personal branding. Now that my company is up and running, I know exactly where I want to go with it and it's already financially sustainable. I would do it again without a doubt!

Results and benefits

Ethical communications and marketing

Thomas is a young French entrepreneur with a background in corporate and organizational communications. He studied in Tours in France, where he grew interest in ethical marketing: making things better for the right brands. During his studies, he also had the opportunity to live in Sweden, the Netherlands, India and Belgium, which gave him a real enthusiasm for life aboard. At 20, when he had just graduated, he was ready to start his own digital communications consulting agency, but needed the special help and tips of experienced entrepreneurs. That's why he went to Vienna in October 2020 for a 6-month exchange with Mathias Haas, founder of SuperSocial, a social media consulting agency that works mainly with NGO UN and EU institutions.

Mathias and Thomas worked together for both projects. Mathias learnt a lot from Thomas in terms of data protection and ethical marketing and was keen to dive into his expertise. He also allowed Thomas to take part in numerous events and workshops, even hosting his own workshop on ethics in digital marketing in front of 50 project managers from all over Europe! Mathias often encouraged Thomas to step out of his comfort zone and, for example, host a workshop on ethics at a big foundation or give a talk at the University of Vienna on the myths of data-driven marketing. But all these experiences turned out to be extremely beneficial for the development of his project.

Thanks to the exchange, Thomas was able to deepen his visual identity based on Mathias' advice and mentoring. Mathias was also able to test his online portfolio, showcasing his catalogue of products and services, and deepen his knowledge of the SDGs and ethics. Thomas also got the opportunity to identify his core target audience and was able to directly test his consulting services and expand his network. He now has a clearer idea of the structure of his business plan and is ready to start his own entrepreneurial journey with his agency:!
