Carlo Sanna is an aspiring entrepreneur who wants to develop a high impact project in his home region -Sardinia- focusing on social innovation and project development at European level. He participated in the EYE programme as a New Entrepreneur to develop his skills in Europlanning and training, sharing knowledge related to social innovation and developing social and professional inclusion services as well as social responsibility. The Host Entrepreneur Maik Fischer runs Domhan-vision, which promotes societal change by fostering entrepreneurial mindsets life-long learning and education. His life’s mission is to transform ideas into international projects; he believes in innovative ideas that improve community life and support learning opportunities for everyone.

Despite the pandemic, Carlo was able to collaborate with Maik and his team on site and expand and deepen his knowledge of the Erasmus+ program and budget management. During the exchange, Carlo was able to boost his skills and experience on start-ups, social entrepreneurship, European projects, and related funding opportunities, Corporate Social Responsibility consulting, and digital media projects. Another part of their project was dedicated to the development of institutional relations with local partners in Sardinia, strengthening the knowledge of fundraising campaigns and the reality of startups in Germany.

The goals of this experience were to manage and create project proposals and budgets, develop social fundraising campaigns and social marketing, and implement social ethical campaigns as a tool and strategy of Corporate Social Responsibility. More specifically the entrepreneurs worked together to develop an Erasmus + application that will involve cities and councils in the organization of a summer school on Entrepreneurship and Sport - in collaboration with local universities both in Germany and Sardinia. The benefits achieved are extremely tangible and for this reason, the entrepreneurs involved in the exchange have decided to continue collaborating in the future.
