Matthew is a highly-qualified successful entrepreneur from Malta who has been running his business for the last four years. He is the co-founder of two software companies called Cleverbit Software and InScope Limited which were founded in 2016 and 2017 respectively. Matthew found out about the programme and was interested to participate in the hopes of further internationalizing their product with the assistance of Syed. Syed having completed his degree in Business administration followed by an MBA in Digital Economy expressed interest in the programme in order to have the opportunity to learn from experienced entrepreneurs who are running similar types of business in other countries. Syed wanted to hone in his skills and get more valuable feedback from the experienced entrepreneur.
During the exchange Matthew trained Syed to understand the design of his product so that he could suggest ways to expand Matthew’s business into new countries by doing gap analysis of their product. Matthew also got new inputs and ideas from Syed which are identified by the gap analysis. Syed got to learn about the risk based customer classification method used in Matthew’s software/product which he could later apply on his health start-up "Predict your future self”.

Both Matthew and Syed benefited from this programme. The programme gave Syed the chance to gain valuable experience for his own start-up. It enabled him to get first-hand practical coaching from Matthew who always encouraged Syed to identify areas from this work experience that would help him in his development so that he would be better equipped in reaching his goals. Matthew also appreciated having Syed who assisted him in doing research and provided further understanding on how a product could be internationalised - researching gaps countries and demographics. The exchange was enjoyable fruitful and enlightening for both Syed and Matthew.
