New entrepreneur:
Emine Gizem Ecer (Türkiye)
Age: 27
Company name: (Start-up)
Sector of activity: Advertising,Promotion, Media

I would like to thank the European Union entrepreneur program supporting organizations and HE for giving me this chance to experience. I came back from the program with new ideas and new connections. Now I feel just the self-confidence to develop business in other countries is not in Türkiye.

Host entrepreneur:
Jennifer Crissey (Poland)
Age: 44
www.teatrbrama.org (11 years of experience)
Sector of activity: Music, theater, events and related cultural and entertainment services

Working with my NE was a great experience. I feel I learned equally as much from her as she did from me. My only regret is that our project only lasted 4 short months but it was enough time for me to know that we will certainly work together again some day in the (hopefully) not distant future.

Period of exchange: 10/2020 until 01/2021

Theater

NE Emine Gizem Ecer wanted to establish international connections and gain experience to use her gains and new perspective in her business idea. HE Jennifer Crissey wanted to host a young entrepreneur looking to gain experience in the development and management of an NGO in the art and cultural sector; specifically those working with art and culture in regards to non-formal education and community building. Emine's interest in digital media and art sectors was what drove her to Jennifer. She wanted to learn how people from other countries work and the situation caused by the pandemic forced these two sectors to collaborate. The NE found a chance to use her two skills and She took an active role in the digital transformation of Jennifer's project "Theatre Brama". Together the HE and NE coordinated two digital theater festivals. Jennifer is experienced in project development using her artistic vision. They collaborated using their skills to write a new project about "Digital Evaluation and Art during the pandemic". They also collaborated on socially engaged art work.

The NE had the chance to attend workshops given by the theatre director where she worked as a workshop instructor with a group that received addiction treatment with the techniques she learned. She took part in the production team of the Digital Theatre Festival and managed its social media and communication. In addition she developed new projects on digital media and art with the HE who is experienced in project writing.

The pandemic forced the two entrepreneurs into a situation of being forced to host 2 festivals online - something they had no experience with. The NE’s skills from her previous experience working in advertising meant that she was in a position to help the HE plan and coordinate the festivals, online promotion as well as working with a team who recorded, edited and prepared performances to be shown online for the festival.
