When Natalia Silva Martín from Spain applied for the Erasmus for Young
Entrepreneurs programme, she was a young pharmacist and beautician who started
her own cosmetics line, Blue Silk. She makes her cosmetic products in an
artisanal and natural way, formulating them with Galician Minero Water. Natalia
is a 5th generation pharmacist in her family with her own
laboratory. She knew that nothing compares to real life experience, so she
decided to participate in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs. She contacted
Eglė Bliumkienė, a cosmetologist who runs the cosmetic institute "Sana Beauty" in Kaunas
"Sana Beauty" was the perfect place to continue Natalia's training as
an entrepreneur, because it offered the perfect conditions: an international
environment and thus the opportunity to expand the vision of the world of
health and beauty globally, and a different business model, but closely related
to Natalia's business.
Eglė was interested in sharing her experience with natural cosmetics.
She was also keen to meet a young pharmacist who made creams and understood her
approach to skincare. Eglè and Natalia shared their experiences working with
clients and their skin types. In their skin analysis, they focused on what
certain skin types need. They took an in-depth look at different skin problems
and the real and possible solutions to them. "We talked about marketing,
sales concepts and goals. We tested the tools we use. We talked a lot about the
importance of personal development of business personnel and internal process
management. "We are delighted with the mutual friendship that has been
formed and hope to continue it in the future as partners in the development of
beauty products, international training or skin care consultations. "
Through this two-month experience, Eglė Bliumkienė has gained much
experience in international relations and personal growth as a teacher
(lecturer). Her company has increased its visibility and credibility. She emphasises
not only cosmetics, but also personal contact and experience with customers.
Thanks to this project, doors have opened for her to participate in other
entrepreneurship projects that allow her to expand network and continue
training. It has given her a new perspective on her business. Thanks to her
participation in the programme, Natalia has grown both professionally and
personally. Her time abroad has helped Natalia improve her skills, especially
in marketing and skin analysis, which has boosted her confidence in her
products. Now she has consolidated her cosmetics line and her product is. We
encourage all entrepreneurs to participate in the programme because personal
and business growth is invaluable!
