Weiwei Cheng Chen is a young engineer in aerospace from Castellón, Spain, who just started his own company ‘OTUS’ specialised in UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and Drones.
In March, Weiwei decided to participate in the programme to taste entrepreneurship. Thanks to the support of Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs, he met Steven Friberg from Denmark, with whom he started a partnership in March.
During his three-month stay in Denmark, Weiwei collaborated with Stefen and his dynamic team on various and interesting projects related to UAVs. He worked on the Pixhawk Systems and issues connected to flights controller.
But not only, he also worked on mapping development, 3D design and 3D printer, and, made several pieces for new aircrafts. Finally yet importantly, he participated in the development of an important product called the ‘AeroNav One’, the new ground station for UAVs.
Thanks to this experience, Weiwei learned to establish provisional budget, mounting and testing the equipment resistance. He learned technical skills, networking skills and gained experience and inspiration to nurture his business.‘The entrepreneurial world is amazing! Thanks to my participation in this programme and to my mentor Stefen, I gained experience in a wide range of projects of great interest for me. I am sure now, that I will be a better entrepreneur and that thanks to the connections I made, I start new interesting projects
