Sharing IT knowledge while exploring new markets
Alfredo Leonardi and Enor Nakuci' s experience shows how the programme can help develop new business opportunities by sharing knowledge and getting insights into internationalisation.
Alfredo Leonardi, Italian entrepreneur from Pesaro, started his IT business ESALAB in 1998. The IT firm specialises in Geographic Information Systems (also known as GIS). Since then, the company has kept on growing and thus, Alfredo decided to tap into new markets.
Knowing that opening to new markets starts with building business relationships and realistic expectations, he enrolled in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs in 2014, in the hope to connect with a business partner that would help him achieve this goal. He was particularly interested in exploring the Albanian market.
Thus, he started looking for a counterpart in the online database and came across he profile of new entrepreneur Enor Nakuci, co-founder of "Kreatx", a start-up based in Tirana. The business specialises in Enterprise Resource Planning, a way to manage business processes, often in real-time and mediated by software and technology. Enor was the business partner Alfredo was looking for to reach the Albanian market.
Enor was thrilled about the new collaboration as from his side, he wanted to improve his knowledge on GIS and to develop a strategy for solving management issues.
Enor flew to Pesaro, in October 2014, where he stayed six months, until April 2015. The cooperation between the two entrepreneurs was as expected, very positive and fruitful.
Enor helped Alfredo in creating an innovative business offer for a group of Italian clients whereas, Alfredo helped Enor integrate the ESALAB’s IT platform into his start up, which resulted in the creation of new synergies between the two companies.
The exchange of experience which lasted six months, enabled them to start a strong partnership and build a trustworthy relationship, which has lasted even after the exchange.
Five years after the exchange, Kreatx continued growing in many aspects which helped the business become one of the most important Software Development companies in Albania.
The collaboration and friendship with Alfredo have never stopped either, on the contrary, it continued over time and became better and stronger. From the professional side, the two businessmen successfully continued partnering on several projects in Italy and Albania, as well as continue to meet on a regular basis.
