Recent testimonies of successful business networking - Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme
Period of exchange: 10/2013 until 12/2013
Duration of exchange: 2 months
Manuel Lopez started his own business ‘Centro Veterinario’, a veterinary clinic located in Spain in 2011. In his start-up, Manuel fills different roles as he works alone and his company starts showing a real development. In order to successfully manage it, he needed to feel more comfortable in all roles. But to achieve this, he needed more business experience and knowledge, new technical skills such as customer management and knowledge on the new surgical techniques.
Conscious of the potential the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs could offer to his business, he enrolled for the programme and started a partnership with Michaela Travaglini, owner of ‘Ambulatorio veterinario centro’ in Italy. Michaela is a doctor of veterinarian medicine and had at the time 5 years’ experience in running a small business of 3 employees. Working alongside with Manuel was an opportunity to get new insights for her business, improve the services she
offers and increase the business revenue eventually.
As main achievements, Manuel improved his veterinary skills in diagnostic making. The knowledge he acquired during his stay-abroad was invaluable for his company and the two entrepreneurs were extremely satisfied of the exchange. They stayed in touch and went on to work on the development of Manuel´s new veterinary clinic with a primary importance on the decisions-making process.
