This European cooperation brought together new entrepreneur Carine POUCHOUT La RueBriques (France) and host entrepreneur Debbie BOUGH Blackwater Training (Ireland) to promote inclusive innovative and accessible learning for people of all ages and backgrounds. By combining expertise in youth work community development educational LEGO® methods robotics and creative learning the partnership aims to foster social inclusion active citizenship and lifelong learning across Europe.
Together, Carine and Debbie worked closely on a range of initiatives aimed at promoting inclusive and innovative learning. During the one-month exchange, they co-designed and delivered workshops using LEGO® bricks, educational robotics and creative problem-solving methods, while also organising international exchanges between French and Irish participants to foster intercultural learning and collaboration. Their cooperation further extended to the development of practical projects addressing local community challenges through teamwork and innovation, while promoting active citizenship, digital skills, creativity and critical thinking through hands-on educational activities. Throughout these initiatives, they ensured the participation of people with fewer opportunities, including people with disabilities, individuals from rural communities and those with limited access to international mobility. The exchange also facilitated valuable knowledge sharing between both organisations, strengthening their educational practices and laying the groundwork for long-term European cooperation.
The exchange generated significant benefits for both the participants and the organisations involved. Through their involvement in collaborative and hands-on activities, both entrepreneurs strengthened their creativity, confidence, teamwork and problem-solving abilities, while also enhancing their digital, intercultural and communication skills through international cooperation. The inclusive nature of the activities improved social inclusion by providing accessible learning opportunities for diverse groups, particularly people with fewer opportunities, and helped participants develop a stronger understanding of active citizenship and European values. Beyond the immediate impact on learners, the exchange established sustainable cooperation between Carine's business, La RueBriques, and Debbie's business, Blackwater Training, creating a solid foundation for future joint initiatives. It also strengthened connections between French and Irish communities, demonstrating how educational innovation can foster inclusion, solidarity and community engagement.
