Mr. Andrzej Burgs CEO of Sygnis S.A. in Warsaw and Ms. Olena Oleksiienko from Ukraine took part in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme to foster cross-border cooperation in innovation and sustainable technologies. Olena with 15 years of experience in the construction sector discovered EYE through social networks and joined to learn European business standards and energy-efficient solutions. Andrzej an experienced deep-tech entrepreneur and mentor learned about the programme via his intermediary organisation and sought to support emerging leaders while exploring opportunities in Ukraine. Their exchange aimed to combine expertise in modern technologies with sustainable construction practices creating mutual benefits through shared knowledge networking and international partnership development.

During the six-month exchange Ms. Olena Oleksiienko actively participated in the daily operations of Sygnis S.A. working closely with Mr. Andrzej Burgs and his team. She was involved in project management market research and business development tasks related to energy efficiency and certification of construction materials. Together they developed marketing strategies prepared a roadmap for international cooperation and created materials for investor outreach. Regular mentoring sessions and joint workshops allowed for continuous knowledge exchange and skill development. The relationship was based on mutual respect and collaboration—Olena contributed her expertise in sustainable construction and knowledge of the Ukrainian market while Andrzej shared his entrepreneurial experience strategic insight and access to a European innovation ecosystem. Their cooperation evolved into a strong professional partnership fostering innovation and future cross-border opportunities.

The exchange brought significant professional growth and lasting cooperation prospects for both entrepreneurs. Ms. Olena Oleksiienko strengthened her managerial and entrepreneurial skills deepened her understanding of European market standards and expanded her network with Polish and international partners in sustainable construction and technology. She gained practical experience in marketing certification processes and project management within an innovative business environment. Mr. Andrzej Burgs benefited from Olena’s insights into the Ukrainian construction market energy efficiency regulations and local business culture creating new pathways for future collaboration and market expansion. Both entrepreneurs plan to maintain contact through joint participation in industry events potential research projects and supplier–partner relations. The exchange not only enhanced their professional competencies but also built a foundation for continued international cooperation.
