Interview with New Entrepreneur Svitlana Prozhyzhko
When did you first become interested in your business area?
I became interested in the Amazon Kindle business around two years ago when I noticed the potential for authors to self-publish and reach a global audience without traditional publishing barriers.
What or who inspired you to start a business?
My inspiration came from seeing how self-publishing could empower writers to share their stories and ideas independently. Watching entrepreneurs who successfully built businesses online like those in the digital marketing space motivated me to take the leap.
Why do you want to be an entrepreneur?
I want to be an entrepreneur because it gives me the freedom to work on projects I am passionate about create something of my own and continuously learn and grow.
What do you see as the biggest challenges or obstacles you are facing?
The biggest challenges are scaling my business staying ahead in a competitive market and improving my marketing strategy to reach a wider audience.
Where would you like to see your business in five years’ time?
In five years I’d like to have a portfolio of high-quality Kindle books generating consistent revenue expand into audiobook publishing and possibly help other aspiring authors launch their books.
How did you find out about the EYE programme?
I learned about the EYE programme from a friend who had participated and highly recommended it as a way to gain mentorship and international business experience.
How is your business (or business plan) developing?
My business plan is steadily developing. I now have a clear strategy for publishing and promoting books monthly and I am seeing better results with each launch.
What did you learn from the host entrepreneur?
My host entrepreneur Mattia who owns a digital marketing company in Portugal taught me valuable strategies for online marketing. He showed me how to optimize ads create engaging book launches and build a stronger online presence for my Kindle books.
What challenges did you face during the exchange and how did you overcome them?
One challenge was learning to apply marketing principles effectively to my niche. With Mattia’s guidance I refined my marketing campaigns step by step. His hands-on approach helped me overcome my lack of technical expertise in digital marketing.
How did you benefit from the programme?
The program helped me grow my business skills significantly. I learned how to market my books more effectively gained insights into scaling my operations and built a professional network that will support my future endeavors.
