Host entrepreneur Benjamin Suchar founded Yoopies in 2011, an online platform connecting parents with babysitters and nannies in Paris. After three years of continuous domestic growth, Benjamin thought that it was time for him to internationalise his company. At the same time, somewhere in Germany new entrepreneur Dimitri Visnadi was looking for an opportunity to get insights into the entrepreneurial world.

Dimitri aspires to create a venture, which combines online childcare and housekeeping service. Dimitri had a solid business plan but needed the advice and tips of a successful business leader to ensure a strong start.

Dimitri got to know Benjamin thanks to Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs. Both entrepreneurs were keen to work together and decided to pursue the business relationship through the programme.

During his stay in France, Dimitri helped Benjamin create a German-Italian version of the company website. Fluent in both languages he was responsible for the marketing of the company and as part of his activities; he notably launched a press campaign, which resulted in a very good press coverage in well-known German newspapers.

In return, Dimitri acquired the tools needed for his company. He gained insights into a wide range of the most important elements any business is concerned with. As an example, he worked on the marketing strategy he prepared for his business and could adjust it, he obtained insights into Human Resources but most importantly the recruitment process and learned to attract investors and manage customer relations.

Both entrepreneurs benefited greatly from one another. Yoopies managed to reach a new market in Germany and Italy thanks to Dimitri’s knowledge of the market and language skills. From his side, Dimitri experienced the practical aspects of running a business.

After his exchange, Dimitri was still undecided to start his own business. He was not ready yet. However, the time spent at Yoopies was a new beginning. Dimitri discovered the world of technologies and data, and decided to acquire new skills in the field of Big Data, a field that was gaining popularity within the job market. He worked at Hewlett-Packard as a data analyst and graduated with a Master’s degree in Data Science from University College London in 2018. As he gained experience and technical knowhow, as he worked for a Google partnered consulting firm in Germany a couple of years.

In November 2019, Dimitri finally decided to take the step to launch his own business Vanalize.com which is a Marketing data-driven business leveraging data science techniques. And very positively surprising, whilst other entrepreneurs were struggling during the pandemic, Dimitri acquired some renowned clients during the COVID-19 crisis.
