A Spanish entrepreneur, Francisco Dobón, created Dobon´s Technology in 2000 with the aim to focus on research and development programmes and the fabrication of energy-efficient products. Pierluigi started its business, New Service Solutions in June 2008. The new entrepreneur’s scope of activity focuses on renewable energies, namely the management of solar centres (permits, investors, rental) and the development of solar generating stations across the region. During the last years, the number of businesses devoted to renewable energy has increased and it has become a strategic business sector in the region of Puglia. The regional government has defined an energy and environmental plan based on energy-saving technologies, which has since encouraged entrepreneurs to set up energy saving companies. Francisco believed this exchange would provide him with a new partnership possibility, as well as the opportunity to share his expertise with new entrepreneurs interested in the same field of business. Both entrepreneurs were keen to establish a working relationship.
During the first two weeks, Pierluigi, with the help of his host entrepreneur, concentrated on getting to know the ins-and-outs of Francisco’s business including its mission, products and services. Next, the new entrepreneur received a thorough training, especially regarding energy-renewable products. Thanks to Francisco’s advice and tutoring, Pierluigi is now able to identify new trading and commercial opportunities in Puglia and in other parts of Italy. Both entrepreneurs discussed extensively about the similarities between their national photovoltaic markets, especially given that both regions are subject to similar climatic conditions.
Pierluigi left Spain with fresh ideas and new ambitions. Since the exchange, both entrepreneurs have signed a commercial agreement in order to introduce Tetra Pack®, a solar track designed on two axes, on the Italian market. Pierluigi has transferred new dynamics to his company.
