Sector of activity:

The Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme was very beneficial for my company. It increased the opportunities for collaboration in the tourism sector between Malta and the international markets.

Period of exchange: 09/2009 until 02/2010
Duration of exchange: 5 months

Joseph Bugeja runs Globalair Travel, a travel agency created in 1982 and purchased by his family in 1996, which offers services to foreign clients visiting Malta. Alena Seginkova graduated with a degree in environmental sciences/nature protection and worked 12 years in financial consulting in Slovakia. She is planning to open her own company specialised in ecotourism.

Alena greatly contributed to the development of Joseph's company by providing him with her skills and innovative ideas. Hence, Joseph discovered a completely new market and learned about ecotourism. Alena got hints and tips about the functioning and management of a company and was able to make international contacts.

Alena will set up her business in the upcoming months. Both entrepreneurs will continue working together, maintaining a strong business partnership.
